This course is a guided observation and practice in the applications of technology to a specified educational setting are emphasized.

Prerequisite: Must be within six hours of completion of program; approval of graduate advisor.

Part 1: Project Proposal

In this project, we were instructed to propose and describe an instructional/training problem in a real-world work or learning environment.

The solution to the instructional. Training problem will be a self-paced interactive web-based instructional solution.

My proposed training solution will be a professional development training provided to recently released incarcerated population based on employability skills that will assist them in the workforce. My chosen web-based instructional solution will be held through Google Sites - where learners can utilize in their own time.

PART 2: DESIGN PLAN

In project 1, we have identified our instructional/training problem or opportunity in a real-world work or learning environment.

In project 2, we have utilized common design processes and selected learning methods to analyze, develop, implement and evaluate instruction for training module intended to address the specific instructional/training or opportunity we identified in our project proposal.

My chosen audience: Parolees/recently released offenders.

PART 3: INSTRUCTIONAL SOLUTION

In part 3, we created and built the interactive web-based instructional solution.

Training - Being able to demonstrate good employability skills could be what makes a hiring manage choose you and what sets you apart from the rest of candidates. Therefore, lots of employers will make final hiring decisions based on what skills candidates can bring to the job and contribute to the organization. Through readings, videos and assessments, learners will be informed of what top skills employers of today are looking for in order to acquire and maintain a position in the workforce.

PART 4: EVALUATION AND REVISION

After completing our draft of our interactive we-based instruction solution (project 3), the implementation and evaluation phase of the instruction design process has occurred (project 4).

Part 4 of practicum project we evaluated and revised our instructional solution using subject matter experts and 3-5 people from our intended target audience. As per their evaluations, we adjusted out web-based instructional solution as needed.
