EDTC 6321 - INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN
This course uses an instructional systems design model to guide the student in systematically developing effective Instruction. Theoretical and practical issues in instructional systems design are examined. Other instructional design models are introduced.
PART 1: INSTRUCTIONAL UNIT PROJECT (IU1)
My IU1 was based on: Learners Will Be Able To Create And Send Emails Through Gmail
In this IU, I identified the intended audience, which also includes the description of where learning will take place, what resources are available, and what potential limitations are. I have also developed a goal based upon who my audience is, and what I want them to learn.
PART 2: INSTRUCTIONAL UNIT PROJECT (IU2)
My IU2 was based on: Learners Will Be Able To Create And Send Emails Through Gmail - A Task by Task Instruction
In this IU, I have analyzed the instructional goal I developed and, through a task analysis, broke the goal into a series of sub-goals, or objectives. I have also described exactly what the learners will be doing as they perform the goal.
PART 3: INSTRUCTIONAL UNIT PROJECT (IU3)
My IU3 was based on: Learners Will Be Able To Create And Send Emails Through Gmail
Intended Audience: Recently released parolees
IU3 objectives:
Develop an instructional strategy and activities for your intended audience, in order for them to master the performance objectives you have created.
Group collaborations and discussions.
Select the appropriate media for implementing the strategies and activities you have developed in step 1.
Google Forms, Google Slides, YouTube.
Create a the first draft of your materials.

IU3 objectives:
In IU4 I've conducted a formative evaluation of my instructional material. The evaluation will be conducted in three different steps: 1. A Subject Matter Expert (SME) review, 2. A one-to-one evaluation, and 3. A small group evaluation.
